Chicken Salad - A Color Gluebook

Chicken salad?! WTF is that?! You're going to have to watch the video to understand...but all I have to say is...all journals shall now be called chicken salad!

I love color gluebooks. Here are some pictures of my first color gluebook (sorry for the picture quality, they are screenshots since I can't get to most of my older journals right now) You can see the short flipthrough of this small journal HERE

This is the front cover. I did the covers in rainbow images.

I used an old catalog (which came apart a bit so I had to reinforce with some tape. So, keep that in mind when using repurposed magazines/catalogs. It can be done, it just might need some extra love!)

 

 

I really had a lot of fun with this color book. My mojo has been kind of lacking over the last year so I started a new color gluebook to help spark some of that desire to create again.

New Color Gluebook

Here is the new book I'm using. It's an old planner that I bought on Amazon a few years back and with a cover like this, its just BEGGING to be filled with colorful pages, wouldn't you think?

So far, I've done 3 pages in my new book and I have a few ideas for multi-colored pages. Here are my first two:

The red page was a lot of fun. I have a lot of vintage magazine images in these first few pages. Please be sure to say hello to Meathead on the right page, there. He is a meatball with a bow on his head.

This is the blue page. Blue is a color that is so easy for me. You know how you have those colors that are so easy to play with? Blue is mine.

 

This is the Celery Jello page. Yuck. But it makes for good collage fodder! I'm happy with how the green page came out...the celery jello definitely added to the deliciousness of this page.
