I first learned about Ideals Magazine about eight years ago when I began this crazy book-loving journey. I couldn't believe my eyes when I flipped through the thick pages and saw all of the gorgeous images and soul-warming content.

Ideals is a Christian publication. I do not consider myself to be a "Christian." I do not create any Christian-based art. However, these magazines are not just for the religious folks. I enjoy the beautiful artwork,
photography and the stories and poetry that fill its pages.
The paper quality is amazing, too. Most of them are softcover but you can occasionally snag a hardcover book version.
Ideals began in 1944 and would put out a handful of different issues per year. They still publish Ideals Magazines, however, they only 
put out Christmas and Easter issues now. Some of the years past include books about Home, Mother's Day, Friendship, Thanksgiving, Country, Nostalgia, Valentine's, Autumn/Autumn Reflections, Homespun, Christmas, Easter, and more.
If you enjoy and appreciate using beautiful artwork and essay quotes/poems in your art journals or junk journals, you might want to consider snagging one of these lovely books! I have an old Christmas Ideals that I pull from whenever I'm working on Christmas journals or my own Christmas journal...they are definitely worth it!
