Nature Supply Journal

Nature Supply Journal

FINALLY! I've had a box full of nature ephemera in my way for months just begging me to become something magical and I think I was able to deliver on the magic!

NATURE SUPPLY JOURNALS!

After I finished my nature collage packs (found here) I had A LOT of miscellaneous ephemera and extra pages laying around that I didn't use in this round of packs and honestly, I did not want to find a home for it all.

How can I use a supply journal?

You might have heard the term "flow-ish journal" floating around. That is what these are. They are similar to a Flow Magazine which is a magazine filled with gorgeous papers to take out and use. Nothing is attached. Each signature folio, pocket, tag, and tuck can be removed and used without any ripping or tearing. It is bound by wrapping the thread around the signature and spine without any piercing or "binding" in the traditional sense.

The plus side to these journals is that you can also add items and use it as a revolving book of supplies. This works awesome for journal themes you have that you'd like to keep in one place(hint Nature). I've also done this with circus, children, and automobile pages & ephemera to keep them in one place until I was ready to work on the journals. (Get a pack of napkins here and try it for yourself!) Its also great to store napkins that you use for collage or decoupage. Its basically a crafty filing system to help you get organized that just so happens to look pretty.

Supply Journal Cover

I make the covers beautiful but with room for you to add your own flair.

Some of the books didn't need anything added to it.

Some of them needed a little help (napkin added, a little collage) but overall the cover was pretty nice.

And some of them needed a complete overhaul. I don't throw out any book covers EVER (unless they are super duper bad - like a cover made out of hamburg). So these covers weren't bad, just ugly!

So, you basically have a cover DONE...it just needs your style and embellishments added!

Pages

I used a huge variety of papers. Some of what you might find:

*Lots of bird images

*Gorgeous botanical and floral images

*Antique geography book pages.

*All kinds of patterned papers

*Folio pockets made with book pages

*Envelopes & pockets full of small goodies (attached with decorated paperclips!)

*National Geographic BOOK pages (not magazines) / Audobon nature books

*Maps (some with animals)

*Calendar pages

*And I'm sure there's much much more...I pull from dozens of sources!

Binding

Like I mentioned earlier, its not bound like we usually do for our junk journals - no pamphlet stitches here!

I like to make sure ALL of these journals are useable. That includes the fibers/thread that hold the signatures in...

Well, these particular ones are wrapped in 6 different colors of jute - in lengths long enough to do something with!

You will not regret this purchase. If you have ever wondered where you will ever find the nice book pages from these YouTube videos, or the nature ephemera people are using, now you can scoop some up AND bits to turn into your own ephemera!

These are perfect for the seasoned journal maker or the novice or maybe you're just wanting to try a new style than what you're used to.

For more information, check out this video with flipthroughs and explanations of each!

You will find these beauties in my Junk Journal Collection

Thanks and have fun!
