Blue & White Repurposed Apple Slicer Wind Chime

I created this Windchime using a vintage apple slicer. I imagined a blue/white/silver theme using repurposed chain, game pieces, and jewelry. I couldn't be happier with the result!

I turned simple poker chips into charms/beads and I used all repurposed jewelry pieces which is why there is a variety of chain on it. Some of the jewelry didn't need to be taken apart and I just hung it as is!

There are also some vintage glass beads on this piece that I bought at a flea market. Most of the glass/lampwork beads I received that day were from the 70s-80s. A genuine vintage chandelier crystal hangs from the top.

The apple slicer was polished using fine steel wool so it shines nicely. There are also some suncatcher crystals and beads.

It measures approximately 6" wide by 19" tall.

Please take care when unboxing. While I do believe the structure will be fine, the wire at the top may need adjusting to hang flat and should bend fairly easily.

I do not recommend hanging this out in the elements. I think a covered porch or window is where this would be happiest. I do think it would hold up outside, however, I do not know if the chain might rust since it is simple costume jewelry. Now, don't let the fact that it is simple costume jewelry deter you from purchasing - the majority of costume jewelry chain is better quality than standard beading/jewelry making chain! I just don't know how the plating would last in the rain.
