I had a vision when I created this wind chime. I drilled the lady heads so I could hang them and I imagined a "material girl" that loved gold and shiny and pink. I included some repurposed jewelry pieces, chain, and bangle bracelets.
It creates a soft, metal sound when it clangs together. The base is some sort of decor piece that I found in an architectural salvage shop.
The overall size of this pieces is approximately 4" wide and 13" long.
I do not recommend hanging this out in the elements. A window or covered porch is where this would be happiest. While I do believe it would survive outdoors, I am not sure of the chain and metal pieces rusting since the jewelry it came from was simple costume jewelry. Now, don't let that deter you...often times, the chain that comes from costume jewelry is much better quality than beading or jewelry-making chain. I just can't guarantee that it won't rust.
